Financially Supported Ministries
Christian Student Union - Averett University
The CSU is a ministry to students at Averett University. As an Association, we provide program support for the ministry. The ministry provides a forum where students can make Christian contacts, develop friends, study the Bible, and practice their leadership skills. The CSU has been an historical important ministry for developing Christian Leadership in students. The space provisions and personnell issues are provided through the Cooperative Program giving of our churches.

Chaplaincy Ministry - Hargrave Military Academy
The Chaplaincy Ministry at Hargrave provides spiritual support for the students. They also provide worship experiences at the Chapel. Our support helps to provide program support for this very worthy ministry.

Good News Jail & Prison Ministry
We also provide support for the local ministry that is part of a much larger Good News Jail & Prison Ministry. David Abnernathy is the director of the local ministry. David also serves the Rivermont Baptist Church in the music ministry. For more information click on the two web pages or call the numbers provided. Kelly Herndon, the former Association Secretary, nows serves the ministry as their full-time secretary
